Community Connections
It is important to understand that helping others and being involved in the world around you may make a positive difference in the community. Community connections involves two things: 1) doing service work and 2) participating in school activities. Some examples of service work are: teaching a P.L.A.I.D workshop, helping around the school (office, custodial, library, kitchen, computer lab, ELC, preschool), being a Foundations Ambassador, and more. Examples of community involvement include: playing on the ultimate team, being a part of the school musical/play, participating in advising day activities, and more. The possibilities are endless! You may choose to be involved in a community inside or outside of school or a combination of both. Students are responsible for documenting at least 24 hours each year, and most students document much more than that!
